PolyJet parts from Planet Proto are among the most accurate available from a prototyping process. Each part the Planet Proto team runs is in the highest accuracy setting. Quality, accuracy and value are basic features of our system. It’s what we as designers and engineers ourselves want.

Planet Cast™ parts are cast polyurethane parts used for early production, short production runs and proof of concept models. Planet Cast parts have production features such as molded-in texture and cast-in standard colors. Planet Cast materials have performance qualities similar to commodity and engineering injection molding resins.

SLA is an acronym for Stereo Lithography. Stereo Lithography is a time-proven process the Planet team has used for about 8 years. It makes parts that are accurate to about 0.006". The Planet team built the business originally on this process. SLA parts are still needed if there is a specialized application, for instance a very large size requirement.

Using our hi-speed and high torque vertical milling centers we can provide aluminum, copper, brass, titanium, stainless steel and steel machined parts. These parts require a longer lead time than our prototype parts but represent the same high quality. Planet Proto will also provide production quantity quotes. We also have CNC turning centers under roof to provide custom turned components.
